The Amendments Eleven through Twenty Seven
11. Suits against States. - cannot be prosecuted of a crime from someone living in another country or state. Ex. someone from the UK cannot charge you for a crime in the US.
12. presidential elections. -
13. Abolishment of slavery. - Black people are no longer slaves. Ex. black people are free from being owned
14. Due-Process granted to all citizens, all ex-slaves now citizens. - Equal rights to everyone. Ex. everyone if protected under law
15. Suffrage for all citizens regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. - The law can not discriminate anyone. Ex. if someone is asian they have the same laws as someone that is black or white.
16. Income tax is established. -
17. Direct Election senators -
18. Prohibition - Alcohol is made illegal. Ex. No one can buy alcohol.
19. Womens suffrage - women get the right to vote. Ex. When a girl turns 18 she can vote.
20. sets the terms of office -
21. repeals prohibition - Amendment 18 is no longer in affect. Ex. People who are 21 and over can buy alcohol.
22. limits the president to only serving 2 terms - Presidents can only serve 2 Terms. Ex. President can only be elected twice.
23. creates respresentation in the electoral college for the district of Colubia -
24. poll tax is made unconstitutional -
25. states that succession of the presidential line in case of disability or death -
26. anyone 18 years of age or older may vote - 18 year old people can vote. Ex. People who turn 18 can vote but 17 can not.
27. congressional pay raises are not put into effect until after the next term -
